Two positions as postdoctoral fellows in theoretical chemistry/theoretical physics are now available at the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Science in Taipei, Taiwan. The IAMS is a premiere institution for the study of fundamental chemical reaction dynamics and also supports very strong programs in surface chemistry, biophysical chemistry, and spectroscopy. Cooperative research will also take place at the Dalian Institute for Chemical Physics (DICP). Postdoctoral fellows may be in residence in either location. The research areas for the postdoctoral positions include:

(1)Theoretical studies of chemical reaction dynamics.
(2)Kinetics of surface processes including thin film growth and catalysis.
(3)Quantum chemistry.
(4)Simplification of kinetics networks.

     Applicants should have a strong theoretical background in dynamics, electronic structure, or statistical mechanics, plus experience in numerical simulations.
