This invaluable Chinese book offers an insightful and informative account of the role played by academicians in the economic development of Taiwan and the role of Gregory C. Chow in the development of economics education and in economic reform in China up to the present.

Prof. Chow was elected Academician of Academia Sinica in 1970. He has advised top government officials in Taiwan and mainland China, respectively, since 1960’s and 1980’s.
