Dr. Mei-Chun Lee received her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of California at Davis. US. Prior to joining Academia Sinica, she was a postdoctoral research fellow in The Research Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan. Her work concerns the chorus, the struggle, and the intertwined relationship between digital technologies and democracy. More specifically, she explore how politics is manifested, mediated, and translated by digital media and technologies, what human and non-human assemblages are formed and enacted in the process, and how they navigate possibilities in the face of rising digital Leviathans.

Dr. Mei-Chun Lee served as an assistant research fellow in the Institute of Ethnology since May 2022.
