The Ministry of Education’s Annual Academic Awards are presented annually to recognize researchers who dedicate themselves in academic research, and thus generate significant contributions or outstanding achievements.

Carl, K. Y. Shaw, Distinguished Research Fellow of Research Center for Humanities and Social Studies, has been named as a recipient in Social Sciences. Yi- Ping, Hsueh, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Molecular Biology, has been named as a recipient in Biology, Medical and Agricultural Sciences.
