“Flower Dance & the Essence of Chinese Opera” is performed by the Ou-Yang Hui-Chen Dance Company, a well-known folk ensemble that has won numerous awards in national and international dance contests. It has also been selected as one of the “Outstanding Performers of New Taipei City” for eight consecutive years by New Taipei City Government’s Department of Cultural Affairs. This renowned ensemble has given more than 1,000 performances, and been greeted with cheers for the past 32 years.

“Based in Taiwan yet dancing around the world” is the mission the Ou-Yang Hui-Chen Dance Company has been pursuing for many years. This ensemble has represented Taiwan at numerous international folk festivals in countries such as the U.S., France, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Greece, Japan, and Korea. During the 110-min long performance, 3 leading dancers accompanied by 40 ensemble members will perform 14 dances of various styles. By viewing the body language of these professional dancers, you will feel the aesthetic spirit of “Flower Dance & the Essence of Chinese Opera” in a traditional as well as innovative feast of dance.
