To encourage postdoctoral fellows to publish innovative, high-quality and high-impact academic papers, and to fund the future elite scholars for their long-term research work, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) has established the Best Research Paper Award for Postdoctoral Fellows (the Award).

Forty awards are granted by MOST annually, and each awardee is to receive NT $100,000 and a medal from MOST.

The following is the list of 2018 awardees from Academia Sinica:
