New Fellow Introduction: Dr. Jen-Hsuan Wei, the Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Molecular Biology

Dr. Wei Jen-Hsuan received her Ph.D. in the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Wei’s research is to understand, at both molecular and cellular levels, how the cytoskeleton is organized and interacts with cellular organelles, and how their interplay contributes to normal physiology and diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Wei is particularly interested in microtubules and the Golgi apparatus, as the two essential cellular structures work coordinately in a variety of cellular processes, including cell division, cell migration and neuronal differentiation.
Dr. Wei was appointed as the Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Molecular Biology in September, 2018. For more information about her research, please refer to the following website: http://www.imb.sinica.edu.tw/ch/research/faculty/jhwei.html
