Dr. Ming-Jen Wu received his Ph.D. from the Department of Anthropology at the University of Hawai’i, Mānoa. He joined the Institute of Ethnology, Academia Sinica, as an Assistant Research Fellow in January 2023.

Dr. Wu has dedicated himself to researching the history, economy, and politics among the Pacific Islands in general and contemporary island societies under natural resource extraction in specific.
