Dr. Heng-Chan Ku received his Ph.D. degree in National Cheng Chi University. He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Taiwan History, Academia Sinica. His areas of specialization are in the history of Taiwan indigenous peoples and the political history and ethnic relations of Taiwan.

Dr. Ku has served as an Assistant Research Fellow at the Institute of Taiwan History since February 2023. His research will focus on indigenous political elites in the early post-war period, indigenous white terror cases, and indigenous movements in the 1980s-1990s.
