Dr. Yu-Ju Chen, Distinguished Research Fellow at the Institute of Chemistry, and Dr. Li-Hwai Lin, Research Fellow at the Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics, were awarded the 2023 Taiwan Outstanding Women in Science Award and the Most Promising Young Scientist Award respectively.

“Taiwan Outstanding Women in Science Awards” is held jointly by Wu Chien-Shiung Education Foundation and L’OREAL Taiwan. These awards recognize female scientists for their efforts and contributions. Each year, three Taiwan Outstanding Women in Science awards are given: the Outstanding Award, the Most Promising Young Scientist Award and the Men Cuei-Zhu Scholarship for Ph. D. Students. In the year of 2023, these awards are targeted to women working in the field of physical science, mathematics and information science.
