        Director Maw-Kuen Wu, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Physics, is going to the United States to attend an international conference from January 16 to 24, 2010 and to Korea for academic affairs from January 31 to February 3, 2010. During his absence, Deputy Director Yang-Yuan Chen will be the acting director.

        Director Shaw Chen Liu, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Research Center for Environmental Changes, is going to China to attend an international conference from January 30 to February 2, 2010. During his absence, Deputy Director George Tin-Fuk Wong is the acting director.
