Director Pen-Chung Yew, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Information Science, is going to the United States for academic affairs from December 21, 2010 to January 5, 2011. During his absence, Deputy Director Keh-Jiann Chen is the acting director.

Director Paul Ho, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics, is going to the United States and Spain for academic affairs from December 18, 2010 to January 3, 2011. During his absence, Deputy Director Ming-Jye Wang is the acting director.
