Congratulations to Dr. Shang-Cheng Hung, Research Fellow of the Genomics Research Center, on Receiving the 2010 Outstanding Scholar Award
 

Dr. Shang-Cheng Hung, Research Fellow of the Genomics Research Center, has received the 2010 Outstanding Scholar Award from the Foundation for the Advancement of Outstanding Scholarship. Dr. Hung will receive a grant of 550,000 NTD each year over a period of five years.

Dr. Hung’s research aims to develop novel methodologies for the synthesis of biologically potent oligosaccharides, glycolipids, and glycoproteins via a combination of regioselective one-pot protection and stereoselective one-pot glycosylation. Dr. Hung’s innovative research methods and distinguished accomplishments have won international recognition.
