Professor Hisatake Okada, the Vice President of Hokkaido University, is leading a delegation of four to Taiwan from September 10 to 12, 2008. On September 11, an Academic Exchange Agreement as well as a Memorandum of Understanding on Student Exchange will be signed. This is expected to be the start of fruitful cooperation between these two Institutes in the years to come.
During their stay in Taiwan, Vice President Hisatake Okada will visit the Genomics Research Center, Institute of Biological Chemistry, Institute of Earth Science and National Palace Museum. A lunch party will be hosted by President Chi-Huey Wong to welcome the visitors. The signing ceremony will immediately follow at the Briefing Room (1F) of the Central Office of Administration at 2 p.m. All executive heads and interested colleagues are invited to take part in this occasion.
