- Dr. Shao-Hua Liu has been promoted Research Fellow of the Institute of Ethnology, effective from November 30, 2018 to May 31, 2033.
- Dr. Hsin-Huang Michael Hsiao has been appointed Adjunct Research Fellow of the Institute of Sociology, effective from January 1, 2019, to July 31, 2020.
- Dr. Cheng-Nan Lin has been appointed Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Political Science, effective from December 13, 2018 to July 31, 2024.
- Dr. You-Hua Chu, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics, has been re-appointed Director of the Institute, effective from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
- Academician Pao-Kuan Wang, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Research Center for Environmental Changes, will act as Acting Director of the Center, effective from January 1, 2019. The term of appointment will be until the new Director of the Center assumes office.
- Dr. Yun-Ching Yeh, Senior Research Specialist of the Institute of Cellular and Organismic Biology, will be the Director of the Department of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer, Central Office of Administration, effective from December 3, 2018.
- Dr. Mao-Chang Liang has been promoted Research Fellow of the Institute of Earth Sciences, effective from December 4, 2018 to July 31, 2041.
- Dr. Kuen-Phon Wu has been appointed Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Biological Chemistry, effective from November 1, 2018 to July 31, 2024.
- Dr. Jen-Pan Huang has been appointed Assistant Research Fellow of the Biodiversity Research Center, effective from January 14, 2019 to July 31, 2024.
