Dr. Pei-Ling Luo, the Assistant Fellow at Academia Sinica, received her Ph.D. in Photonics Technologies at National Tsing Hua University, and after that she flew to German to conduct postdoctoral research at Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics. Her interest of research and specialty is to develop the modern laser and spectroscopy technology and to apply precision laser spectroscopy to study atomic and molecular physics. Her current research focuses on developing broadband laser light sources to demonstrate high-sensitivity multi-gas sensing and to investigate the spectroscopy of free radicals and key molecules in the atmosphere.

Dr. Luo says that she is honored to become a fellow of the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences at Academia Sinica and she will be dedicated to developing broadband laser spectrometer for studying critical species in atmosphere and conduct related multidisciplinary research and application.

Dr. Luo was appointed as the Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences in August, 2018.
