Dr. T. Terry Cheung received his Ph.D. in Economics at Washington University in St. Louis, US. His interest of research and specialty is to compare and analyze the mechanism and the difference of the population, education, and technological development in developed and developing countries based on historical economic data. His current research objects focus on the education policy in early 20th century in America and how the structural transformation affected the population and the birthrate.

Dr. Cheung says that he is honored to become one fellow of the Institute of Economics at Academia Sinica. As a person growing up in Hong Kong, he looks forward to what he will encounter and experience in his future life in Taiwan. He also says that he will devote himself to the multidisciplinary research and education in economics and history analysis.

Dr. Cheung was appointed as the Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Economics in June 2018.
