Abstract:
“Intersections and Relations”. An International Conference on Asian/American Studies in Global Frames addresses the diverse and intersecting interests in Asian American studies, Asian studies and American studies, and explores the different approaches to Asian/American topics that are now in circulation, such as transpacific, global asias, Sinophone, settler colonial, indigenous, and archipelagic studies. Featuring 30 leading scholars from the United States, Japan, Australia, and Taiwan, the conference presents cutting edge research that navigate and negotiate these diverse yet intersected frames, and deliberate on the new sites, methods, archives, and questions that define and advance the study of Asian/American.
