1. The Academia Sinica Career Development Award offers a 5-year fixed-term funding to recruit and encourage young scholars with an excellent track record and outstanding research potential. The objective of this program is to promote world-class research talent in Taiwan on research topics of international relevance. Submissions of referrals for 2013 are now being accepted.
2.This award is on a referral basis, not by application. Funding for the 2013 Career Development Award begins on January 1st, 2013, and is not in conflict with other Thematic Research Programs at Academia Sinica.
3. The review process includes a preliminary review and a secondary review. Please refer to the “Instructions for the Preliminary Review of the 2013 Career Development Award, Academia Sinica” to prepare the documents required for the referral. All materials must be delivered to the Academic Affairs Office by May 31st, 2012. Applicants who pass the preliminary review will be officially notified and asked to submit full proposals for the secondary review.
4. All documents should be completed in English for the Divisions of Mathematics and Physical Sciences and Life Sciences. For the Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences, they can be written in a language with which experts in relevant fields are familiar.
