Chen Wen-yi Receives the Harvard University Achilles Fang Prize

Chen Wen-yi, Research Assistant at the Institute of History & Philology, receives the Harvard University Achilles Fang Prize for the best dissertation in the East Asian humanities.
Harvard University's Achilles Fang Prize was established ten years ago in memory of the late Harvard professor, Dr. Achilles Fang.  Any students in the East Asian humanities (including China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and Inner Asia) may be nominated by Harvard faculty for this prize.  The prize is awarded to one student per year, and in many years it has not been awarded at all. The monetary sum awarded to the recipient is intended to support the publication of their first book by Harvard University.  This year, Ms. Chen Wen-yi, research assistant at the Institute of History & Philology, was awarded the Harvard Achilles Fang Prize for her Ph.D. dissertation entitled Networks, Communities, and Identities: On the Discursive Practices of Yuan Literati.
