Forum: The causes of Taiwan’s postwar economic development

After World War II, Taiwan’s sustained economic growth has made it, along with South Korea, the top performers among latecomer countries. The book The causes of Taiwan’s postwar economic development written by Dr. Wan-Wen Chu , Research Fellow at Research Center of Humanity and Social Sciences, Academia Sinica, explores the causes of Taiwan’s development and offers explanations that challenge the mainstream discourse. This Forum invites experts in related fields to discuss the important issues raised in the book.
