The 2010 Second Session of the Postdoctoral Fellows Program is Open for Application Beginning January 15 (Deadline March 1, 2010)

Applications for the Postdoctoral Research Fellowships at Academia Sinica for the second session of 2010 are now being accepted. Beginning January 15, 2010, all applications should be processed on-line (http://db3n2u.sinica.edu.tw/~textdb/program). It is not necessary to submit hard copies of application materials. All applications must be submitted between January 15 and March 1, 2010. Appointment of postdoctoral fellows for this session commences on July 1, 2010.

If the applicant has not yet received the doctoral degree, the applicants dissertation supervisor must provide a letter confirming that the applicant is expected to receive the PhD diploma before the appointment starts. In addition, three letters of recommendation must be received by the Academic Affairs Office (AAO) before the March 1 deadline.

Applicants who are not affiliated with the Division of Mathematics and Physical Sciences may also apply under this Division if their researches involve mathematical or scientific content.

A principal investigator may sponsor as many postdoctoral fellows as he or she wishes. However, each project is limited to one applicant only.

For research in an institute within the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, applicants are required to submit a proposal of 5000-6000 words specifying the aim, significance, background, and methodology of their research projects. Proposals which do not address these issues will be adversely affected.

For more information, please contact Dr. Shu-ling Song of the Academic Affairs Office, tel. 02-2789-8051, or visit the website: http://aao.sinica.edu.tw/english/pro_pfp.html
