| New scholar exchange program agreed between Univ. of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National Univ. Ho Chi Minh City and Academia Sinica |

After a successful scholar exchange program between the Academia Sinica and University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam in 2006, new scholar exchange program for the year 2007 has just agreed upon by both institutes. Academia Sinica will assign Dr. Shu-Miaw Chaw of Research Center for Biodiversity as visiting scholar for one month study this year. Dr. Chaw's research project is "Diversity and Evolution of the Terpene Synthase Gene Family in Fokienia hodginsii (Dunn) (Cupressaceae) Henry et Thomas."
