　　Dr. Shin-Kun Peng, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Economics has been appointed the Secretary-General of Academia Sinica, effective September 15, 2017.
　　Dr. Jyh-Yih Chen, Research Fellow of the Institute of Cellular and Organismic Biology has been appointed Acting Director of the Marine Research Station, effective from August 21, 2017 until the new director of the station assumes office.
