Dr. Chih-ming Wang Awarded the Yasuo Sakakibara Prize for International Scholars |

Dr. Chih-ming Wang, Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of European and American Studies, Academia Sinica, was honored with the Yasuo Sakakibara Prize at the American Studies Association annual meeting, which was held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on October 17, 2008. The prize honors Yasuo Sakakibara, Professor Emeritus of Economics and first chair of the Graduate School in American Studies at Doshisha University, and a past president of the Japanese Association for American Studies. The Yasuo Sakakibara Prize is awarded to the best paper presented by an international scholar at the meeting. The winning paper may deal with any aspect of American history, culture, or society, contributing to the international development of American Studies.
