Director Fan-Sen Wang, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics (Preparatory Office), will go to Chile and America for academic affairs from November 10 to December 5, 2008. During his absence the acting director of the Office will be Associate Research Fellow Ming-Jye Wang.

Director Ming-Daw Tsai, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Biological Chemistry, will go to America to receive the 2008 Distinguished Alumni Award by Purdue University from November 2 to 10, 2008. During his absence the acting director of the Institute will be Deputy Director Po-Huang Liang.

Director Shin-Kun Peng, Research Fellow of the Institute of Economics, will attend an international conference in America from November 19 to 23, 2008. During his absence the acting director of the Institute will be Deputy Director Joan C. Lo.
