Dr. Min-Hsiung Huang, Associate Research Fellow of the Institute of European and American Studies at Academia Sinica, has been selected as a 2012-2013 Harvard Yenching Visiting Scholar. The Visiting Scholars Program offers faculty the opportunity to conduct 10 months of research at Harvard University and provides a living stipend. Dr. Huang’s research focuses on social stratification and the sociology of education. He also studies occupational standing and occupational differentials in cognitive ability. The title of the research proposal which he plans to pursue at Harvard is “Intra-cohort Growth in the Inequality of Math Performance: The Case of Taiwan in International Perspective.”
