The secondment of Dr. Andy Kung, Research Fellow of the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, to serve as Professor of Department of Electrical Engineering and Director of Institute of Photonics Technologies at National Tsing Hua University has been approved, effective August 15, 2009 to May 31, 2012.

Dr. Kaito Takahashi has been appointed Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, effective June 1, 2009.

Dr. Tao-Shih Hsieh, Research Fellow of the Institute of Cellular and Organismic Biology, has been appointed Director of the Institute for a three-year term, effective June 15, 2009.
