Director Siao-chen Hu, Research Fellow of the Institute of Chinese Literature and Philosophy, is going to China for academic affairs from July 30 to August 10, 2014. During her absence, Deputy Director Ta-hsing Chow is the acting director.

         Director Hsin-Huang Michael Hsiao, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Sociology, will attend an international conference in Philippines from August 3–6, 2014. During his absence, Deputy Director Fu-chang Wang will be the acting director.

         Director Tao-Shih Hsieh, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Cellular and Organismic Biology, will attend an international conference in the United States from August 5-21, 2014. During his absence, Deputy Director Pung-Pung Hwang will be the acting director.
