Director Wen-Hsiung Li, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Biodiversity Research Center, is going to Germany and the United States for academic affairs from October 11 to 21, 2009. During his absence, Deputy Director Jiunn-Tzong Wu is the acting director.

Director Hsueh-Chi Hsu, Research Fellow of the Institute of Taiwan History, will go to China to attend an academic conference from October 17 to 28, 2009. During her absence, Deputy Director Shu-Min Chung will be the acting director.
