Director Ker-Chau Li, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Statistical Science, will attend an international conference in Singapore from November 20 to 25, 2008. During his absence the acting director of the Institute will be Deputy Director Hsien-Kuei Hwang.

Director Shin-Kun Peng, Research Fellow of the Institute of Economics, will attend an international conference in China from November 27 to 30, 2008. During his absence the acting director of the Institute will be Deputy Director Kamhon Kan.
