　　Dr. Shun-Jen Cheng, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics, is acting as Director of the Institute, effective August 12, 2013. The term of appointment is until the new Director of the Institute assumes office.

　　Dr. Shui-Beih Yu has been appointed Adjunct Research Fellow of the Institute of Earth Sciences, effective August 1, 2013.

　　Dr. Ching-Ying Lan has been appointed Adjunct Research Fellow of the Institute of Earth Sciences, effective August 1, 2013.
