Congratulations to Dr. Tse-Wen Chang on Being Bestowed 2007 Distinguished Achievement Award, Chinese Institute of Engineers, USA
 

Dr. Tse-Wen Chang, Distinguished Research Fellow at the Genomics Research Center,  attended the 90th CIE-USA Annual Convention to receive the honor of the 2007 Distinguished Achievement Award as well as to give a keynote speech entitled “Anti-IgE for Severe Asthma and Allergy: from Bench to Clinics to Commercialization” on November 10th in Newark, New Jersey.

Dr. Chang is among 5 awardees this year with achievements in a variety of fields:

n          Dr. Tse-Wen Chang, Distinguished Research Fellow, Genomics Research Center, Academia Sinica

n          Dr. Stephen Y. Chou, Joseph C. Elgin Professor of "Department of Electrical Engineering" at Princeton University

n          Dr. James C. M. Hwang, Professor of Electrical Engineering and Director of the Compound- Semiconductor Technology Laboratory at Lehigh University

n          Mr. Huaping Huang, (Retired) Vice General Manager of China Gezhouba Water & Power Group Corporation

n          Dr. Biing-Hwang Juang, Motorola Foundation Chair Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology

The Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE) was founded in 1917 in the United States by a group of dedicated and visionary Chinese engineers who graduated from universities and served in the academia and industry in the U.S. It has evolved to harness very diverse engineering disciplines, including telecommunication, civil engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical science and software engineering, etc.

The CIE achievement award is presented to any person of Chinese origin (or any other origin whose contribution benefited the Chinese society) who has made distinguished achievement in science, engineering or technology.
