Dr. Chuang’s research interests focus on functional programming, programming languages and systems, XML and web technologies, open geospatial information processing, and the social implications of information technologies. The Fulbright Senior Research Grant will allow Dr. Chuang to pursue research at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University.

Dr. Lin specializes in the social and economic history of Taiwan, history of Taiwan during the Qing dynasty and Taiwan’s maritime history. She plans to pursue research and gather historical materials at Harvard University’s Department of East Asian Studies from March to August 2012.
