| Academia Sinica events calendar gets a brand new look |

To meet the needs of users, Academia Sinica launched a new events calendar on Thursday, October 19, 2017. This revised version features an intuitively designed layout as well as a brand new look, making it more user-friendly. Users can access the calendar from Academia Sinica’s homepage via the following link: https://calendar.sinica.edu.tw. Here’s a brief description of the revisions and new features:
1. A subscription feature is added so users can opt to receive automatic event alerts.
2. New function buttons allow users to switch between Chinese and English interfaces, to do keyword searches, and to locate popular science lectures. These buttons make it easier to search for and find event information.
3. The small calendar display panel offers a quick overview of event dates.
4. Color-coded organizer labels link users directly to the website of the event organizer. The organizer and event classification tabs are also color-coded for ease of recognition.
5. The organizer and event category filters located on the right have been changed to drop-down menus to make them more user-friendly.
