Director Bor-Ming Jahn, Distinguished Research Fellow of Institute of Earth Science, is going to Singapore for attending international conference from August 11 to 15, 2009. During his absence, Deputy Director Jian-Cheng Lee is the acting director.

Director Shaw Chen Liu, Distinguished Research Fellow of Research Center for Environmental Changes, is going to China for academic affairs from August 9 to 20, 2009. During his absence, Research Fellow Fuh Kwo Shiah is the acting director.
