Dr. Pung-Pung Hwang, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Cellular and Organismic Biology has been appointed Acting Director of The Marine Research Station, effective from Mar 10, 2017 until the new Director of the station assumes office.
　　Academician Sun-Lin Chung, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Earth Sciences, has been appointed the director of the institute, effective from May 1, 2017.to April 30, 2020.
