Dr. Ruey-Hwa Chen, Distinguished Research Fellow, Institute of Biological Chemistry, Academia Sinica, has been recognized as the “2016 Taiwan Outstanding Women in Science Award”. Dr. Chen is awarded for her enormous contributions to the understanding of cell signaling and protein posttranslational modifications in regulating cellular processes associated with malignant behaviors of cancers, such as metastasis and treatment resistance. Her research accomplishments have been greeted with great attention in the scientific communities and have opened an avenue for designing novel and effective strategies for cancer therapy.
