The French-Taiwanese Cultural Foundation was established in 1996 under the aegis of the French Academy of Social and Moral Sciences for the purpose of “awarding every year two prizes for artistic or literary works that shed light on relations between Taiwan and Europe and/or contribute to the enhancement of cultural exchange between Taiwan and Europe.”
Each prize awards 25,000 Euros. Any natural person or legal entity from any European country or from Taiwan, who subscribes to the Foundation’s objectives, may apply.
Candidates must submit materials such as research, proposed cultural projects, reports, publications, artistic creations, etc. which are directly related to Taiwan. The submitted materials can be completed or still in progress.
Please fill in the form (in French, Chinese, or English) and enclose documents such as literary works, research, or other cultural projects, together with letters of recommendation. Applicants should send the application materials to the Secretariat Office before June 1st, 2010. Following the evaluation process, Academia Sinica will nominate candidates to the French-Taiwanese Cultural Foundation by June 30, 2010.
