Director Wen-Hsiung Li, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Biodiversity Research Center, is going to the United States for academic affairs from August 27 to September 13, 2009. During his absence, Deputy Director Jiunn-Tzong Wu is the acting director.

Director Shin-Kun Peng, Research Fellow of the Institute of Economics, will go to China to attend an international conference from August 28 to 31, 2009. During his absence, Deputy Director Joan Chi-Chiung Lo is the acting director.
