- Academia Sinica Career Development Award offers a 5-year fixed-term funding to recruit and encourage young scholars with an excellent track record and outstanding research potential. The objective of this program is to promote world-class research talent in Taiwan on research topics of international relevance. Submissions of referrals for 2012 are now being accepted.
- This award is on a referral basis instead of application. The 2012 Career Development Award begins on January 1st, 2012, and is not in conflict with other Thematic Research Programs at Academia Sinica.
- The review process includes a preliminary review and a secondary review. Please refer to “Instructions for the Preliminary Review of 2012 Career Development Award, Academia Sinica” for preparing documents required for the referral. All materials prepared for the referral must be delivered to the Academic Affairs Office by May 31st, 2011. Applicants who pass the preliminary review will be officially notified and asked to submit completed proposals for the secondary review.
- All documents should be completed in English for the Divisions of Mathematics and Physical Sciences and Life Sciences. For the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, they can be written in a language with which experts in relevant fields are familiar.
