Dr. Kuo-Chang Huang, Associate Research Fellow of the Institutum Iurisprudentiae at Academia Sinica and Dr. Yu-Yueh Tasi, Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Sociology at Academia Sinica have each received a Fulbright Senior Research Grant for 2012-2013.
Dr. Huang’s research interests focus on civil procedure, international litigation, judicial system and empirical legal studies. Dr. Huang has accepted the invitation from Cornell Law School to conduct research as a visiting scholar from August 1, 2012. His research topic is “Dispute Resolution Behavior in a Legalized Society—An Attempt to Connect the Path to Justice concept to the Legal Consciousness Theme.”
Dr. Tsai specializes in medical sociology, STS (science, technology and society), cultural sociology, Taiwanese indigenous health, genetic knowledge and identity politics. The Fulbright Senior Research Grant will allow Dr. Tsai to pursue research at the Holtz Center and Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
