Academician Sun-lin Chung, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Earth Sciences, has been listed in the list of world’s Top 1% researchers with global influence and impact in 2016 on Highly Cited Researchers website, announced by Clarivate Analytics, previously was the Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property & Science business. In all, the current listing of Highly Cited Researchers features some 3,100 names from 22 main subject fields. 19 scientists from Taiwan are in the list and Academician Chung is the only one scientist in earth science, also the only researcher from Academia Sinica.
