Academician Fan-Sen Wang, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of History and Philology, has been appointed Vice President of Academia Sinica, effective January 1, 2010.

Dr. Shaw-Chen Liu, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Research Center for Environment Changes, has been appointed Director of the Center for a four-month term, effective January 1, 2010.

Dr. Shi-shu Peng has been appointed Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Economics, effective December 21, 2009.
