Director Ming-Che Shih, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Center, will go to the United States for academic affairs from July 11–17,2014. During his absence, Deputy Director Lie-Fen Shyur is the acting director.

         Director Hsin-Huang Michael Hsiao, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Sociology, will attend an international conference in Japan from July 16–20, 2014. During his absence, Deputy Director Fu-chang Wang will be the acting director.
