Free cancer screenings hosted by NanGang district Health Center and the Infirmary of Academia Sinica is open for the employees of Academia Sinica and their dependents. The free screening service offers free breast, cervical and colorectal screenings. Making an appointment, please call the number: 2789-9437. For the limited spaces, please sign up in advance (Before September 19) and bring your ACR card and NHI IC Card with you for identity verification.

- 9:00-11:30AM, Wednesday, September 21, 2016
- 9:00-11:30AM, Friday, September 30, 2016
Venue: Infirmary room, 1F. Gymnasium, Academia Sinica
Service Items:
- Pap smears screening: for females at age 30-70, once every year. Please wear a skirt.
To ensure that your Pap smear is most effective, follow these tips prior to your test:
Avoid intercourse, douching, or using any vaginal medicines or spermicidal foams,
creams or jellies for two days before having a Pap smear, as these may wash away or
obscure abnormal cells. And make sure you are not on period.
- Breast cancer mammograms: for females at age 45-69, once every other year.
- Colorectal cancer screening (fecal occult blood tests): for age 50-74, once every
other year.
- Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Blood Cholesterol: for Taipei City citizens at age 40 or
above, once every year.
