Academician Ovid J. L. Tzeng awarded TheATLAS Academy Gold Medal of Honor
 

        Academician Ovid J.L. Tzeng was awarded the Academy Gold Medal of Honor by Texas-based non-profit organization the Academy of Transdisciplinary Learning and Advanced Studies (TheATLAS) on June 5 in recognition of his accomplishment in transdisciplinary education and research.

  Academician Tzeng received the award at TheATLAS 2012 Biennial Meeting, which was held this year at the Asia University, Taichung, after giving a keynote address to participants.

  The ATLAS was founded in 2000 as a non-profit organization promoting transdisciplinary education and research and supporting social, environmental, economical and ethical sustainable development throughout the world. It presents the “Academy Gold Medal of Honor” at its biennial meeting to recognize accomplishment in transdisciplinary education and research, public service, and other allied pursuits beneficial to design and process science, The former president of Academia Sinica Yuan T. Lee received this honor in 2007.
