Director Tao-Shih Hsieh, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Cellular and Organismic Biology, is going to the United States for academic affairs from September 11–28, 2013. 　　During his absence, Deputy Director Pung-Pung Hwang is the acting director.

　　Director Ming-Daw Tsai, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Biological Chemistry, will attend an international conference in Japan from September 14–20, 2013. From September 25–30, 2013, he will attend another international conference in Korea. During his absence, Deputy Director Chun-Hung Lin and Deputy Director Kay-Hooi Khoo will be the acting director respectively.

　　Director Ting-Kuo Lee, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Physics, will go to China for academic affairs from September 22–28, 2013. During his absence, Deputy Director Yang Yuan Chen will be the acting director.
