1.      Academia Sinica Career Development Award offers a 5-year fixed-term funding to recruit and encourage young scholars with an excellent track record and outstanding research potential. The objective of this program is to promote world-class research talent in Taiwan on research topics of international relevance. Submission of referrals for 2016 now begins.

2.      This award is on a referral basis, not by application. The 2016 Career Development Award begins on January 1^st, 2016.

3.      The awardees shall have no more projects currently funded by Academia Sinica.

4.      The review process includes a preliminary review and a secondary review. Please refer to “Instructions for the Preliminary Review of 2016 Career Development Award, Academia Sinica” for preparing documents required for the referral. All materials prepared for the referral must be delivered to Department of Academic Affairs and Instrument Service by April 30^th, 2015. Applicants who pass the preliminary review will be officially notified and asked to submit full proposals for the secondary review.

5.      All documents should be completed in English for Divisions of Mathematics and Physical Sciences and Life Sciences. For Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences, they can be written in language with which experts in relevant fields are familiar.
