     Dr. Benjamin Fong Chao, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Earth Sciences, has been appointed Director of the Institute for a three-year term, effective September 1, 2010.

     Dr. Lou-sing Kan has been appointed Adjunct Research Fellow of the Institute of Chemistry, effective August 1, 2010.

     Dr. Nils Göran David Malmqvist has been appointed Corresponding Research Fellow of the Institute of Chinese Literature and Philosophy, effective August 20, 2010.

     Dr. Hui-Chuan Jennifer Huang has been appointed Associate Research Fellow of the Institute of Linguistics, effective September 1, 2010.
